La inducción forzada es un método utilizado para aumentar la potencia de un motor al introducir más aire en la cámara de combustión de lo que sería posible con la aspiración natural. Esto se consigue mediante dispositivos como turbocompresores y sobrealimentadores.

En los coches de carreras, la inducción forzada se utiliza para maximizar el rendimiento del motor y obtener una ventaja competitiva. Los motores turboalimentados son comunes en muchas series de carreras, como la Fórmula 1 y el Campeonato Mundial de Rally, mientras que los sobrealimentadores son comunes en las carreras de aceleración y ciertos tipos de circuitos.
